It was so much harder saying goodbye to you yesterday than I ever imagined! I know you were smiling down on all of many people who came to celebrate and remember the tremendous impact that you had on all of our lives! You gave more to us than you'll ever know. I definitely see and feel you in Katelyn. The overwhelming pain I feel every single day is sometimes more than I can handle. However, I feel your love coming through each and every time I see or speak to one of you awesome friends! There is a bond with them, for which I am forever grateful. You are my heart and always will be♥

Arrangements for Christine’s Memorial have been finalized.  They will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15^th. Following the Memorial, there will be a brief ceremony at the grave site which is located close to the Chapel.  After that, John and Sandra will be hosting a reception/light lunch at his house. Maps will be provided at the Memorial Service.

I can't believe I'm actually posting this, but Christine Mary Felgar passed away this afternoon.  Her heart stopped during surgery and they couldn't bring her back.  The doctors tried for quite awhile, but she had endured too much trauma.  I will post the day and time of the funeral, as I feel we'll all want to come together to remember her incredible life.  Thank you to everyone who said prayers and gave support to the family.  I know Christine felt it.  Hopefully, Christine will now be at peace with my parents(her grandparents) and Mark's father and brother.

FRIDAY MORNING OCT. 7TH-UPDATE-WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

 Christine had surgery yesterday to remove some of the infection in her body, as it's been through a lot.  They probably will need to go in  again at a later date.  I got home last night, so I'm going to see her today.  I really missed her beautiful face!  I'll update you again when I get back later this afternoon.  I'll try to update daily, but things often don't change much from day to day.  Just remember to keep her in your prayers.

WEDNESDAY OCT 5TH-UPDATE-WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

Christine did make some improvements over the night.  However, it's still day by day at this time.  If anyone wants to send cards of encouragement, just let me know.  I promise to read them all to her personally.   I KNOW she can hear me when I talk to her, so it will give her the added strength she needs now.

TUESDAY OCT. 4TH-UPDATE-WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

TUESDAY Oct. 4th  UPDATE
I saw Christine at 3 am before I had to leave to Sacramento for a few days.  Her big beautiful eyes opened and looked at me.  She definitely knew I was there.  Her condition is still the same.  I'll update tomorrow if I can, but definitely by Thursday.

MONDAY OCT 3RD-UPDATE-WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

There really isn't any significant changes to report in Christine's condition today.  She's still fighting another infection, but in stable condition at this time.  She's also still on dialysis to help her kidneys.  I realize this isn't a lot of information, but it changes so much from day to day.  I will give more updates, as the information comes in.  Keep sending your prayers and love.

SUNDAY Oct. 2nd UPDATE- WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

It is so wonderful to see the level of care Christine is receiving at UCLA Hospital!  When her uncle John and I saw her this morning, she opened her eyes again.  It is obvious that she is responding to what we're saying to her.  The doctors are still performing a lot of diagnostic tests, but said she is stable, although still critical.  Again, only time will tell.  You can mail cards to her family and I will take them to her.  I will update more when we get more concrete news.

SATURDAY OCT. 1ST-UPDATE-WE LOVE YOU CHRISTINE

Christine is in good hands at UCLA Hospital!  The family feels a lot more confident in the abilities of the doctors at that facility.  She opened her eyes again today when I was reading all of the comments from the blog and Facebook.  Right now is a very critical period in which this hospital is spending a great deal of time diagnosing her condition  and collaborating on various methods of treatment.  They do plan to wean her off of the sedation over the next few days, thus we'll know more.  I feel as though I'm repeating the same information over and over again, but there hasn't been a critical shift either way.  Like many of you said, Christine is a fighter.  If it wasn't for that innate determination, I fear she might not have made it this far.  On a more positive note, I found out more from her boyfriend, Brett, regarding what occurred immediately after the accident.  I was so happy to hear that she was totally cognizant after the accident.  She was even consoling Brett and letting him know everything would be OK.  So for now, I'm going to trust Christine that everything will be OK.
